Make a statement!
This 1980’s home had these tired looking staircase handrails. The owners wanted to update it since it was the first thing a visitor saw when they entered their home. The stairs were in great condition so we decided to us the structure and update it. We cut off the ornamental balls and added trim around the top and made the base appear bolder with the addition of a heavy baseboard. We installed square balusters to give the entire staircase a more modern feel and painted everything white.
In addition, we addition a short banister at the top of the stairs where there were none. We made it match and now the home stairs meet the code requirements that will be necessary when they sell the home.
In these photos, the risers have not been completed as the owners were still trying to decide what to do. As of this posting, they have decided to have them prepped and painted white – which we will start soon.
